Isaac Xu

spatial design + furniture design + branding

Hi, I'm Isaac Xu.
I am a spatial experience designer and Master of Architecture student at USC, focused on creating environments that connect storytelling, architecture, and human experience.

My work explores how people move through, interact with, and emotionally connect to physical environments. I am particularly interested in themed environments, experiential design, interior architecture, and environmental storytelling—using spatial form, material, lighting, and technology to create memorable experiences.

My experience includes projects with Porsche × Rusnak and Royal Caribbean, where I have developed concepts from early research and spatial studies through design development, visualization, stakeholder review, and real-world project constraints.

I enjoy working between concept and making—developing ideas through 3D modeling, visualization, physical prototyping, and iterative design. I am comfortable moving between Rhino, Maya, ZBrush, Unreal Engine, Twinmotion, SolidWorks, and Adobe Creative Suite.

I am especially interested in environments where story, space, and interaction come together to create experiences people remember.

Outside of design, I enjoy escape rooms and exploring new experiences in VR—both of which continue to influence how I think about interaction, discovery, and spatial storytelling.

I bring a problem-solving mindset to collaborative design environments, particularly when projects require balancing creative intent with technical, material, and spatial constraints.
